A warm welcome awaits you at Moptop Place Bed and Breakfast with hosts Yvonne and Ian, cat MacArthur and Labrador Zara. We have a modern comfortable, smoke free home 4 - 5 minutes walk from the restaurants, shops and beautiful Lake Te Anau.

Te Anau is the closest town to Milford Sound and we are on the main route through Te Anau to Milford Sound and a 20 minute drive from the boat to Doubtful Sound. We have views of the wonderful mountain ranges surrounding this awesome area from our home.

Yvonne and Ian enjoy sharing their knowledge of Fiordland National Park which is designated a World Heritage area and is the largest National Park in New Zealand. Lake Te Anau is the largest lake in the South Island and 2nd largest in New Zealand. We are able to help you plan your time in Te Anau. Yvonne enjoys painting and gardening while Ian enjoys fly fishing in the many beautiful fishing areas within a short drive of our home, hunting and gardening. We both enjoy meeting people and spending time with our family and grandchildren. Fish Guiding can be arranged.
